In this blog entry I will talk about the communication relevance for corporations.
Corporate Communication has become more essential. Especially, in the last couple years became corporate communication very important for corporations. Information exchange has become easier, faster, and safer with the technological improvement. Telephones, Cell phones, Intranet, Fax machines, the Internet, and Video Conferencing are just some of the new technology changes over the last years.
Another cause for the boost of the relevance of corporate communication is that the position of the general public changed. These days, people want to know more about the business around the world and about the corporations with there are dealing.
Companies have become more and more multifaceted. As a result, the communication within and even outside the corporation is more complicated.
Some years ago, when the communication process was not that detailed and important to companies was the whole communication process done by just a small division or even one person. But now, globalization increased and companies went public and have sometimes dozen of subsidiaries in different countries. Companies spend more and more time with communication around the world.
Rising rivalry and more advertising opportunities made corporate communication for corporations more interesting and attractive. The competition forces organizations to make more advertisements. Some of the most important jobs of a communication department are to influence the customer decision making to buy the company’s product, to create brand names, to upgrade reputation, and to form image and identity.
In the last decades communication has become more and more diversify and complex.. But there are still manager who are not trained well in communication (like crisis communication) and do not know the importance of communication in organizations. Without communication experts bigger companies will face serious problems in their business environment. Therefore, mangers should be aware of the meaning and of the effect of communication to their constituencies.

From my point of view, communication relevance is very important and effect every organization. Companies should be concern about the communication effect and should be trained well about their influence.
The time I spend in a German bank showed me that the communication process is a process, which has to be updated day by day. Every single day things change and has to be considered. When new things like new communication technologies came up, they have to analyzed and maybe used in the corporation. I think that the relevance is more important to any organization as ever before and will play always a big role in an organization success.
